Accommodation

Hello, I’m an international student. I’m looking for a self-catered accommodation.
I’m an introvert and don’t really enjoy partying so would prefer a quiet place. I want to find an accommodation that is close to the business school (but I don’t mind walking so either is fine)
Which accommodation should I apply to?
Oh and I want en-suite

What is the central social space and should I choose a place that have this?

Hi there, I'm also not a party person, so totally understand where you're coming from! I would recommend taking a look at the university accommodation website: https://www.exeter.ac.uk/accommodation/

You'll find loads of information about all the residences, including how close they are to different areas on campus and wether they are en-suite or shared bathroom. You can also filter by self-catered, since you know that's what you'd prefer. There are specific quiet blocks/flats available in some accommodation, which you can put as a preference when applying. More info can be found here: https://www.exeter.ac.uk/accommodati...tionprocedure/

The closest accommodation to the business school is probably lafrowda, although it does have a reputation for being a big party location, so maybe have a look into Rowe House and St Germans which are also very close! All the accommodation is walking distance though so there are loads of other options.

Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any more questions!

St germans would be perfect for you:
- Christow and Lydford are specifically quiet blocks and the accommodation overall is relatively quiet
- it is less than 5 minutes from the business school
- all rooms are en-suite
Happy to answer any other questions you have about St Germans as I stayed there last year

Hi, I wonder if all of the people that chose a quiet accommodation would be introverts. Would that make it harder to socialize and make friends in your flat/accommodation?

And what does “quiet” exactly means? What happens in other accommodations that are not “quiet”? Lots of parties?
Thanks

Most of my housemates were introverts, like me, but we weren't introverted in the sense of not socialising but in the sense of not being the sort of people who would want to go clubbing frequently

ohh nice, did you do a lot of activities together in the flat and do you still live with them now in a shared private accommodation?

Hello, Have you already found accommodation or still looking; I am a Exeter Uni student looking for someone to take over my room at "The Depot" for 3 months from end of May to end of August. It is a bright, large 20sqm Platinum Plus En Suite Room on the 4th floor with a city view that shares a living room /kitchen with 5 others-very quiet students and very near Exeter campus. Interested?
