English Literature dissertation ideas

Hi, I've nearly finished my second year at university and will soon have to submit a vague title for my dissertation, but I have no idea what I want to write on. I don't need to know exactly for a while but I'm trying to come up with a way to start. I am wanting to go on into a more creative job/industry such as marketing, copywriting, social media, magazine journalism etc and am finding it hard to think of things that are relevant to this. Obviously it doesn't have to be directly linked as dissertations should be unique / not generalised but I don't want to do something completely random either. E.g. I have enjoyed modules on animals in children's literature, but I'm struggling to parallel my interests. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would focus on finding a way to link your degree subject to the work you want to go into, that way your research will be good prep for future job searching. Off the top of my head
- the role of social media in publishing
- online book clubs/communities & blogging about books
- how novels and authors are marketed.
