Should I skip my schools summer social?

Not sure if this is the right area but here goes. My school is having a summer social dance at the end of exams and they normally hold two dances one for when you are in year 12 and one for when you are in year 13 but I've already attended the one in year 12. I'm not sure if I should go to the dance this summer as I already enjoyed the dance last year and something about this year's is putting me off. I'm not sure if it's the location of a golf course manor or if its the food,a bbq buffet style thing, or just how I'm going to be there alone as most of my friends aren't thinking of going. My parents say it's fine if I skip it but I'm worried that I'll regret not going. I think a outsiders perspective will help. Thanks in advance.

I had 3 chances to do prom (2019, 2021&2022) and I didn't go to a single one, didn't regret it/wasn't interested in going.

If my friends aren't going, personally I wouldn't either
