going to do my sixform in the usa but worried if I can’t go any uk universities

so i have just finished my gcse and my family are giving me a choice whether to do my sixth form in the usa.(well in the usa do the last two years).i don’t mind doing that but my question is when i do my exams over there would that give me a less chance of not getting into any universities in the uk i want. i dont really understand the education system.

If you are applying with US sixthform-equivalent credentials, you would need AP exams instead of A levels. You would also take more subjects than at A level, although you would not need to take every subject at the AP level. I don't think doing that would lessen your admissions chances, but it would certainly be a different educational experience.
