does it matter what subject you get A* in
i would like to apply to unis for dentistry that require A*AA grades, and I’m wondering if it matters what subject i get the A* in and if it has to be a science subject? ie i do a level sociology so is it okay if I get predicted A* in that rather than Chemistry for example? i’ve looked on uni websites but i can’t find anything that mentions it specifically.

If you can’t see anything stating an A* is expected in a particular subject, then you should be good.
If it tells you the A* is expected in a science subject, contact the uni directly to see whether they consider sociology to be a science subject.
