Just because someone gay doesn’t mean they need to like pride. I’m bi and I hate what I see of pride parades: obnoxious colours and flags everywhere, a lot of people half or fully naked, fetishes and kinks everywhere, drag queens, people having literal sex on street corners and so much more. It makes me cringe so much and I will never go to a pride event or parade.
I imagine she just means that you could go without her. Not that she would go with someone else.
