MOOCs on sites such as FutureLearn show that you have an interest in the subject you are taking. They are usually made by universities, just make sure you keep a record of all the MOOCs you have done.

Reading around your subject will also help and you can then mention that in your personal statement when you apply to university.

I don't know much about computer science, but I think it could have some relevance, I would recommend asking your teachers in September whether it would be useful on a personal statement. You could mention it either way because a small portion of your personal statement is dedicated to the extracurricular side.
