Predicted grades

What are predicted grades based off? Could they be based off:

1. Mini tests that they put the marks off into the system
2. February exam before AS levels
3. AS exam
4. GCSE?
5. Upcoming November mocks in yr13? (Or would they finalise their decision before the grades even come out from the nov mock?)

Different schools take different approaches. Most schools would prefer to use evidence based upon recent actual exams (rather than "end of topic" tests, and the like). So that would be 3 and/or 5. Ask you school what approach they take.
