shaving today and sex: risk of infection?
hi,
im seeing my bf at uni today and i couldn’t wax for like 10-12 days cos of my period and unfortunately there’s no slots left in the salon today so could i shave this morning and still be able to have sex later tonight? or will that mean i may get an infection or something? even if we wear protection ??
is this risky?

Shaving increases you risk of having cuts/open wounds, which does slightly increase your risk of getting an STI. But waxing could do that too. All you can do is accept that sex will never be 100% risk free and try and be sensible and use barrier contraception to reduced your risk. Literally nothing in life is risk free, you know?
