History a level coursework

Any historians that believe nationalism was the main cause of the First World War?
just a bit.

Read a review of Chris Clarke's 'Sleepwalkers' - in essence, Serbian nationalism (the idea that all people of the same ethnic background should come together as one country) was the cause of the war as Serbia helpe fund/supply the Black Hand gang / Princip etc in an effort to drive out Austrian influence in the Balkans, particularly Bosnia which they wanted to united with.

but be careful what you mean by nationalism. Many different types - ethnic (Serbia), geographic (Germany), economic (Britian - empire), cultural - Ireland late 19th century (promoting all things Irish compared to anything British).
