BTEC Applied science level 3

Hi there just wondering if I can get an overall distinction?

I've completed 3 Internal units so far and got distinctions for all 3. For my externally assessed exam I got a high pass, was 1 mark from a merit. I have exams coming up in January and think I'll get similar grades. I believe I then have a few more coursework units which I'm going to aim for distinctions in. Will I still have a chance to get an overall distinction?

My teacher told me that if I got a pass in my exam but a distinction in all the coursework, I would be able to get an overall distinction.
