Funding for a second undergraduate degree

It is now possible to obtain limited funding - for STEM courses - for graduates. Is there a list of qualifying courses at each institution, or simply generic guidance?
In particular, the degree I wish to register for is a BSc in Mathematics and Economics, by wholly part-time online study, run by the London School of Economics. Out of twelve 30 credit modules, eight are in mathematics/statistics and four in economics.

Hello. Generally, if you already hold a degree, you would not be funded if you were to study an equivalent or lower level qualification from Student Finance England.

There is some courses that are an exception to this rule. Mathematical Sciences is one of them for part-time.

To determine if this course would be eligible then we can check it, however, there are no part-time courses under this name at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) on our system.

Thanks, Leah.

Hello Leah,

Thanks for replying.

The course does exist, though it may not be listed in the LSE website. Try www.london.ac.uk, for online taught degrees that used to be described as 'International Programmes'. For enquiries, this address may be useful: [email protected].

Hi Kenny,

The course would need to be listed on the database in order for us to confirm eligibility. So we're unable to confirm this or contact the university directly. They would need to update their database for the course to be live for funding. If you want to contact them to confirm this or check if the course itself may have a different name to the one you've advised above. Thanks, Jason
