How to apply for university as an international student (Slovakia)?

Hiya, I’m an international student from Slovakia interested in applying to a UK university. I would just like to ask what are the initial steps in the application process, and is it possible to apply without seeking a scholarship? Any guidance or experiences would be very appreciated!

Will you be applying to study an undergraduate degree or a postgraduate degree in the UK? The processes are quite different.

Things that are common are:
1. finding a course in which you're interested,
2. checking that you meet (or will soon meet, having sat some upcoming exams) the entry requirements for that course,
3. ensuring that you can prove that level of English is good enough, and
4. applying for a student visa.
