Why did my period blood turn black after 4 days then turn red on the 5th day?
Like I thought it was coming to an end but it seems to have started again?
Sometimes during a period if the blood flow is slowed down it can cause dark blood brown/black colour because there is no oxygen in it.
Then once the bleeding gets a bit heavier again it will be red due to the oxygen.

Hope you are feeling ok now.
Menstrual blood usually appears red or brown due to the presence of oxygen, which causes the blood to oxidize. However, when the blood is retained in the uterus for a longer period of time, the lack of oxygen causes the blood to turn black.
