The Student Room Group

she’s so boring

One of my best friends moved to a diff sixth form and we’ve been talking since year 12. She’s always been by my side and we’ve always have had the same interests. When i’m with her i feel comfortable and i can sit in perfect silence with her. But during sixthform she’s slowly just turning more drier and drier. She sometimes tells me that she only has a some group of friends but prefers the old one much more. It’s just whenever i have a convo, i feel like im the one always talking even though i ask her loads of questions. she just doesn’t give me a lot to work with like it’s not one worded answers but it’s sort of hard to create any humour online anymore unless it’s to do with drama. She’s a nice person and i wouldn’t call her a red flag but idk if she’s just being more reserved or just tired idk.

Ask her if she’s doing okay- maybe she’s struggling with her mental health. Sometimes when people get depressed or are going through something else it takes a lot of energy to socialise.

yeah i've thought abt this too so i've been asking her, her school is much more competitive than mine and she wants to go to high uni like imperial or oxford. its sort of hard to tell whats going on because when i see her irl, she seems okay in terms of mood, speech and diet. idk hopefully its just her mock stress
