psychology - work experience in year 12

does anyone have any tips or advice on how to get psychology / neuro work experience (currently in year 12)

You really can't get work experience in psychology in sixth form, I'm afraid :frown:

You can try volunteering for a mental health charity or some mentorship programme but that's about the extent you can do before university.

Same as above, you'd do very well to find anything. Previous places I've worked have only considered 3rd year sandwich placements only. I'd consider something more generally health related or just something you think you'd enjoy. This kind of experience isn't needed for getting on to a psychology degree (it's even hard when you're doing a BSc to be honest!).
