It depends on the terms and conditions of the student account. Some say that to keep the overdraft you need to deposit so much money per term. So in theory you could get the loan paid into another account and then transfer enough across to qualify, but it seems a lot of hassle.
what else are you even going to do with it
you generally have to pay in/out a certain amount per term to demonstrate it is your main account to qualify for the student account
