How do I tell my parents I don't want to be vegetarian anymore?

Rofl ok, it's all relative. Life is hard as it is, and it always was. I choose to eat meat, sorry but it is what it is, and it will demand will continue to exist indefinitely that's just the harsh truth of it.

I understand it's immoral but like I said BEFORE (scroll up), I'm too selfish to give up my quality of life to reduce demand for a demerit good that will never be zero!

So I went vegetarian nearly 4 years ago (I was 13) because it was kinda cool at the time and all my friends were, but now I'm turning 17 and for about 6 months I've been thinking I want to go back to eating meat. So how should I tell my parents I feel a bit embarrassed to tell them for some reason but I mean I know they won't care (actually they'll probably be relieved that they don't have te deal with it anymore) ahh plz help me! Thx ^.^

I'm not telling you to stop eating it. But I strongly believe that in a not so distant future, people (at least those in developed countries), will finally move on, and stop eating meat.

What makes you think those in developed countries will stop demanding meat? There are even less alternative sources of protein in developed countries, especially where countries such as Brazil specialise in beef production.

Anyway, I'd rather not get into a lengthy debate into this, meat is yum.

Because I think that people in developed countries will evolve faster, in a way. Like we always have - e.g. in 3rd world countries there are still many superstitions, animals are often treated like objects - (here we usually keep them as pets and pretend that slaughterhouses aren't as cruel as there are but you know what I mean...). I think they will realise quicker just how barbaric killing animals for meat is. Kind of like with slavery in the past... Also, I think that they might start mass producing artificial meat? So that there is no killing involved - for people who really love the taste. But maybe I'm just being overly optimistic.

Maybe you are over generalising 100s of LEDC's into one assumed culture, and overly optimistic to an extent. As long as there is demand, there is supply - simple economics. I just don't see demand going to zero in the near future.

WYour quality of life will be lower because you can't eat a hamburger.... But what about them? Their whole, life is frigging torture... It's your choice in the end but maybe you should give yourself a few more days to think about it

We have the most powerful man in the world seemingly happy to destroy the planet for profits. We haven't evolved in any way in that we still kill each other all around the world mindlessly. We have advanced in many ways yet continue to suffer socially in many ways the same or worse as 1000 year ago ago. Something tells me the majority of people viewing killing animals for meat as barbaric in the future as far, far off, maybe even fiction.

The only likely predicament in my opinion that can cause vegetarianism is of meat becoming unavailable, due to any number of reasons be it famine, economy or health related.

He's not the most powerful man in the world. But hmmm I'm not sure if he does this just for profits. I really think he truly BELIEVES that 'GLOBAL WARMING IS A CONSPIRACY'. He's just that dumb.

There are people who know what's true but know it's negative effects on business and hire scientists for their agenda.

I don't really think that's true. I mean someone would eventually leak all the information.
