Potential narcissism isn't the same as psychosis. Psychosis is an entirely different thing.

Look up "narcissistic mothers" - you might see it rings true to your mothers behaviour. Also the subreddit called raisedbynarcissists might be of help to you in feeling less alone.

And re: advice? If she truly is as controlling as you say she is, then when you're able to, get far away. Narcissistic parents are toxic.
