I didnt register in the local elections as to be honest i dont know enough about the area as i've only been here 2 years for uni and im most likely going to leave after final year as i dont really like it here so yeh. I never know who to vote for nowadays anyway, they are all pretty bad :/

You can register now for the EU Election, and change your address later when you need to.

I'm some countries (eg Australia) it's compulsory to vote. We don't have that here but voting is an important part of adulting :wink:

To elect MEPs to represent you in the European Parliament. In 2014 few people voted and as a result UKIP won the most seats. If you want people other than Farage and the like to be representing you then people like you and me need to participate :smile:

Yes. And at this stage Brexit is by no means a certainty. Until we actually leave (if we do) we are still actively participating in the EU.

You should and I'll tell you why I think that. In the past I have always abstained from voting in European elections for the reason of I don't believe we should be there, I never saw a point in voting for a person like Farage who does not believe in Europe to be an MEP and act to disrupt the EU.

Fast forward for how remainers have acted post 2016 and I won't miss an opportunity to stick it to them, I will vote for the most difficult people to make life as hard as possible for Europe.

The fact if the matter is the majority of the country did not give a toss about Europe whi h Is why turn out was so low, we need to make the leave voice heard loud and clear, we won't be trampled over

I believe my choices are either that cretin George Batten or some n*nce looking Conservative MEP, so I think I'll be giving this one a miss. Got A levels anyway

Not necessarily true. If France get their way, our influence/rights will be severely limited, but we'll still have to follow full EU laws. Though I agree with this stance, because I'm hoping we are leaving, and so us having an influence on big issues that will affect the EU for the remaining years it has left it pretty unfair.

Any move by Macron or others to actively restrict our power would very easily be subject to challenge - legally, we would remain full members; EU treaties bestow certain privileges to 'full members' and there simply isn't time to change the treaties.

However, we can't do anything that would "violate the spirit of the EU27" - we can't simply veto everything and be a ****.

It's a difficult one to answer that, as a socialist voting for a right wing party is difficult after all its the direct fault of the right that we are in the current political situation.

In this European election I will vote Brexit party because UKIP have involved the far right nutters like robbison and I can't support such. Voting Tory will not guarantee anything because they're the one just got as in the mess in the first place, including the party that took us into into Europe!

There's no point.

Let Nigel take his job back....and he will continue to fight behind the scenes to retain it!

Because he is a bureaucratic talk show host who does absolutely nothing but fool people into thinking he actually does anything except get his kids german citizenship lol.
