my mum suggested I take a gap year now. we talked it through with someone who is currently a teaching assistant elsewhere, and she said it might be a good idea to try and help myself heal... but im wary of what that might entail. it would involve me leaving school after this term finishes for Christmas and getting a full time job somewhere for the rest of the year and study in my own time. then I would come back and resit my first year at my local college taking the same a levels as i am now. it would give me time to focus on my mental health and get my confidence back up. it would also help me bring up my savings for uni or other programmes I want to do. my only concern is that the uni i want to go to might frown upon it, but it would give me time to go and to enrichment programmes to help boost my personal statement??? if anyone has doe this or has some advice leave a reply, its greatly appreciated!!

continue where I am now and leave at the end of the year, redoing my first year at my local college (they do different exam boards) and try and make it through this year. my only concern is that my mental health with continue to deteriorate further to th point that its even more detrimental to my studies and I'mscared I wont get the predicted grades I want. thing may improve, or they may get worse, but at the moment its affecting my physical health and my school is doing little to help me with that.
