What can I study in university with my A levels.(Physics related if possible)

Hi I'm currently doing A level physics, chemistry and psychology.I dropped my A level maths .And I'm not quite sure what I want to do in uni .I am kind of interested in physics more .Can anyone please tell me about any physics related course at uni that I can do without maths A level. Or any course I can do with my A levels.

Pharmacy & Optometry are options although they are not that Physics based.

Engineering/Physics normally require maths but you could do a foundation year first like the ones at Loughborough, Sussex or Kent. They will still expect applicants to have good grades at maths GCSE.

HI there! Since you do not have an A level in maths, you can always take our foundation year prior to starting your first year. Hi there,

I imagine your would be hard-pressed to find a high-ranking university that offers Physics without needing A-level maths, unfortunately. As other people have said, if you are set on physics then there are a few options:

•

Do a foundation year to meet your entry requirements

•

Pick the maths A-Level back up, or take a gap year and complete it then and apply a year later

•

Go to a uni that doesn't require maths to take Physics, although I imagine these are often (but obviously not always) less reputable universities

As you do physics, chemistry and psychology, you may also find Natural Sciences courses interesting, as you can study multiple sciences. For example, you could do Physics with Chemistry. Again though, many of these (Bath's course included) require maths A-Level. You could also do a chemistry degree, but focus on inorganic and physical chemistry.

All in all, I would recommend just looking online (i.e. using the website another person suggested) to put in your A-Levels and see what courses at which unis you can do.

If you change your mind and are interested in pursuing Psychology, it sounds like the BSc rather than the BA would suit you better as it focuses more on the scientific side of the subject (based on your fondness for chemistry and physics).
