well having low self-esteem comes from comparing yourself to others does it not?
we all see each other as the same and had no insecurities about ourselves until we saw things in other people but lack in ourselves so i wouldn't say it's just natural it has to be caused by something

usually it's based on how you were treated in your childhood. I've never seen a 5yo with good parents who acted like they might have low self esteem.
