Good friends

Why is it that when people moan that they have no friends
And you do everything you can to talk to them and try and help them
But all they do is ignore you or don't respond WHY

They moan because, like everyone, they want to have friends but, unlike everyone, they’re not very good at making friends. You seem to not grasp this as you rule out how they socialise by saying that they’re ignoring you.

Sadly, your username is a bit ironic.

It might be because they’re an introvert
I don’t have many friends because of this which is fine by me but if approached it can be quite daunting and possibly even intimidating

Maybe it’s because they do not want to be your friend.

Because we don't really feel it's genuine no matter how genuine you are, also we just don't really know how to react, conversations are hard yet alone if you don't practice it often.

Try not to take it personally but that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep messaging them, just make yourself eager to engage them, make them feel wanted and that they are human.

The reason for my new username is because my mother has just passed away

I'm sorry that happened to you. I can't even think about something like that, may she rest in peace.

Not enough of an excuse to completely ignore someone.

Personally I wouldn’t do that but if someone was so shy they felt uncomfortable talking why should they feel forced. For some people social situations promote fear and insecurities so become cold and closed off. Realistically would u do anything differently if it was u in the same situation as an anxious introvert
