Parent works abroad!
Hi everyone, I just tried calling directgov to help me with this and the man couldn't understand my problem;
Last summer my father started working in the Republic of Ireland, and now pays Irish tax. Although I still live in England along with my mum, my parents are still happily married etc
I was wondering if I am still eligible for Student Finance, since the only household income is from my father's Euro salary.

Hi Katherine,
Yes you can still apply using your Father's income details. When filling in your application he should give the income info in sterling and also send in evidence to prove how much he earned in 11/12.
