Which laptop should i get

Hey!! So recently I got through my DSA funding. This automatically gave me a Fujitsu Lifebook A512 15.6" Notebook, but with the option to upgrade to any of the following (providing I make up the difference)

HP ENVY 15-K252NA 15” Laptop

HP Pavilion x360 13-A000NA Convertible

HP Pavilion x360 13-a101na

HP ProBook 640 G1 Core i5

Lenovo T440p 14 inch Notebook I5

Lenovo Thinkpad X240 12.5" Ultrabook

Lenovo Flex 2 14" Touchscreen Laptop

Lenovo Flex2 Pro 15.6” Laptop

Lenovo Z50 15.6" Laptop - White

Toshiba Portege R30-A-15N

Toshiba Portege R30-A-1CN

Toshiba Satellite Pro R50-B-12V

Toshiba Portege Z30-A-13E

Toshiba Portege Z30-A-1FD

Toshiba Satellite S50-B-15N

Toshiba Satellite Pro P70-B-10T 17.3"

Toshiba Portege R30-A-1D1

Toshiba Portege Z30-A-13X

Plus Macbook’s and IMAC’S

Are there any here that stand out as good? Or alternatively, as really bad?

What tasks will you be using the laptop for? How much are the upgrades and how much extra would you ideally want to spend?

Mainly writing essays etc - I'm doing a language degree so nothing too technical. I'm not sure the exact costs of the upgrades, but tbh it sounds like that's not a problem - my mum said she'd cover the difference for a mac upgrade and from quick looks that seems like it would be the most expensive aha

I would at least pay the extra to move to an i3 or i5 equipped laptop, just for smoother performance and a bit of extra longevity. If money isn't an issue, look through the various options and see if there are any with features that appeal to you, for example if you have a preferred screen size or want a higher definition 1080p (or better) display, a convertible laptop like the Lenovo Flex line, ultra fast Flash/SSD storage for instant boot ups, super slim bodies like the MacBook Air or other ultrabooks, and so on.
