Tattoo removal

Has anyone had a tattoo removal procedure with laser therapy?

I got a tattoo on my ankle when I was 18 - I went through a little rebellious phase. Now I'm in my 20s in a professional job and I like to wear skirts to work, and I also attend conferences/networking events/drinks nights where I have to dress up well.

I started feeling uncomfortable about my tattoo a few years ago - especially when people notice it/ask what it means. I just feel like I'm not suited to the tattoo look and it was just done on a whim when I was younger so it's quite cringey explaining it to fellow professionals - especially men, for some reason.

I just don't like it anymore. I tried covering it with makeup but it tends to brush off. It's about the area of two 2p pieces.

Has anyone else gone through with tattoo removal? Did you regret the removal? Was it very expensive?

I'm just not sure if I should keep it as a reminder of a wilder time or get rid now that I'm older and basically a different person.
