What vaccines should I get before going to University?

I heard meningitis and things, but I'm not sure. Also how much do they typically cost? When is the best time to do them?
I'm pretty meticulous about my health... (I'm not doing a course that requires Vaccination, I'm asking generally)
You should make sure you've been fully vaccinated for MMR (there are particularly sometimes outbreaks of mumps at universities), Polio, Diptheria and Tetanus. If you're from the UK, you should have had these as part of the national immunisation schedule, but it's worth checking to make sure you haven't missed any boosters at any point.

It's recommended you get the MenACWY vaccine too if you've not already had it (this is different from meningitis C vaccine if you might have already had that).

You should be able to get them done at your GP (it shouldn't cost anything if you're from the UK).
