Maintenance loan lower than expected

Hi, I am an EU Migrant worker. It is my foundation year and my maintenance loan seems to be much lower than expected. I am a lone mother with a child and currently receiving Universal Credit. Does that benefit affect the amount of the maintenance loan and if yes, how? Also, how can I apply for a Special Support Loan? Or another loan to boost my income and avoid hardships?
