When should you look for second year flats

In first year currently and just wondering when do most people go looking for flats for second year? And what so I do if I cant find anyone to live with as I dont get on too well with my current flatmates

If you already have a group in mind, then as early as possible, since most good accommodations are gone by the start of second semester. Since you don't, your first priority should be looking for groups that are looking for extra people (many tend to drop out of their group due to personal circumstances). Try looking on facebook or any uni websites for groups advertising.

As soon as possible, most of the good places are going already. I sorted out my third year house with my mates last week.

My GF left it until December when she was in first year and only sh*tholes were left.
