Claustrophobia getting worse

I've always had problems in lifts and busy bars but recently I've been feeling super claustrophobic when lying on the couch with my partner with me. We watch netflix and suddenly I'll get this horrible fear that I have to get up and escape, it's really bad and I basically push my partner to the floor and stand up then breathe heavily feeling awful.

What can I do to get over this?
it might be worth seeking counselling

hypnosis is more more of an unconventional approach but can help some people.
