Occupational health

I wanted to know what kind of occupation check I need to do before I start nursing studies. Can I get the checks from my GP ?

Hi there. Occupational Health will look at your fitness for nursing, and is different to a GP appointment. The Occupational Health appointment will be arranged for you by your course provider. They will look at any underlying medical conditions that you have, and your vaccination history (which you may need to get from your GP), to determine whether there is anything that would prevent you from working as a nurse. It's a very straightforward process, and many employees use Occupational Health services. Good luck in your future career.
