need help with career progression

set to go into Cardiff to do sociology, but plan is to do journalism in the future. is there are advice as how I can gear my degree into a good postgrad journalist job, or any experiences I can gather?

Join student media groups, create online content. Its not about adapting your course but developing your skills on top of the course.

Perhaps there are local media organisations you could volunteer at? Or set up a blog and see if you can build some content.
