Any online relationship is likely to be para-social, that's been my experience anyway. You can never build a real bond with people because there will always be distance.

Yeah I get that, I think it’s only bad to have online friends when they are your only friends

That is definitely true but this is the best option I have so far. Until I can make in person friends.

I think you put too much stock in relationships in general, people move on and this bs about needing friends or ultimately wanting to rely on them is wishful imo

I can relate to this. I’ve been homeschooled my whole life, and so this is currently my only option as well when it comes to socialisation.

Be careful who you connect with over the internet, you have no clue who you may be bringing into your social circle. Also, Discord is a cesspool of creeps and degenerates. So there's that too.

yes I will be careful and I’m aware but discord is the safest way for me as none of my information or anything like that is on there. But I will definitely keep this in mind.

How is it working out for you and how are you making friends online
It’s alright, it’s a decent substitute for real life interaction, but at the same time, I don’t have too many friends. But I would say a big part of that is because my personality comes across as somewhat odd and eccentric.
I have found that friendships tend to find their way to you when you’re least expecting it though.
How has your experience meeting people in the online world been? Are you new to it, and if not, have you had much success?

I do have a discord account, but my phone storage is full, and I don’t currently have the app downloaded. I could probably reinstall it sometime soon though, once I free up some space.
My account will also turn 3 days old tomorrow, so from then, I believe you will be able to send me private messages on here, if you’d like.

If you log into Discord using the browser version you should be able to save your details in a separate tab and log into it whenever you want.
