Yes I’ve been to one open day so far but right now I’m thinking :

1) Cambridge ( my GCSEs are too low for Oxford 😿)
2) a coastal uni
3) a London uni
4) a Scottish uni
5) Liverpool or Manchester just because they seem nice

Sorry if this is random I’ll probably choose specific ones based off accommodation and courses

also thinking abt Australia bc I kinda wanna travel but it’s an extreme jump so just thinking abt it 😭

Mine is ok too, work experience is so difficult to find 😭 Also my school is fairly small and so they haven’t had many med applications and don’t know how to get any either. My tests have been alright at the moment I’m just worried that I won’t be able to get the wex/volunteering in time. I’ve got mocks the next few weeks which should hopefully go well

Oh damnnn good luck for mocks lmk how they go. Yeah I called like 20 gps today and need to email half of them. What is wex ? I think for volunteering I currently do 1hr a week w elderly people and 1hr every 2 weeks teaching maths then I signed up to help kids read. And I’ve signed up for a charity shop job. I thought this might be enough atm considering I have no work experience but work experience is acc just annoying me so much at this point. If ur school is small it might be better bc u might rank higher grades wise if that helps

Wex is just a shortened way of saying work experience. I really need to call some GPs, I emailed some work experience person at my local hospital but they haven’t replied and it’s been a month 😭 It sounds like you’re doing loads! I’m also doing reading with younger years, thinking of tutoring after mocks as well but we’ll see if it actually happens 😂 I think I’ll have to leave my part time job soon because otherwise I’m doing too much in school and barely have any free time, let alone any for volunteering.

Do you have any friends parents who work in the NHS? Worth asking them if they know who to contact for experience.
