SLC Overpayment?
Hi,
I have recently received an email from SLC asking me for proof of work to continue receiving my maintenance loan as a migrant worker. The only issue is that I had no idea I was applying as a migrant worker at the start of the application process.
Nowhere did it say on my application that I had to work to qualify for a maintenance loan. I was even asked for my parents' income, something typical for a home student application!!! I didn't need to do that the year prior when I did, indeed, apply as a migrant worker.
Now I am being asked to repay the overpaid maintenance loan and I would like to know how to contest it considering how stupidly misleading the application process was.
