Studying in Germany?

I've just accidentally come across a really exciting sounding degree at the University of Göttingen, and am strongly considering applying. It's taught in English, so that's no problem. I do have some basic German knowledge from school and have a German cousin who's said he's happy to help!! (oh and German uni is free- mind blowing!)

I have applied for my 5 unis through UCAS, but might as well apply here too as I have nothing to lose from it.

My main question is, does anyone have any experience of studying in Germany as an international- is it easy to integrate, are the people friendly, is the application process complicated, etc.

Thank you!! :-)
