Advice for going back in education

My older friends have been telling me to go back to education and now I've actually started looking into it. If I was to go to Uni, I need my A-Levels or any level 3 qualifications basically.

Since I'm already 21, would it cost anything to start studying for the courses? Is there also student finance for it even though its not Uni because I will still need to pay my bills and everything even if I become am a full-time student.

There are a few options available to you.

1.

Access to HE Diploma

2.

A Levels at a College

3.

Foundation Year at University

For 1 & 2, you can apply for an advance learner loan (works a bit like student finance):
https://www.gov.uk/advanced-learner-loan

For 3, you can apply with student finance. Essentially you'd apply for a 4/5 year course at uni, where 1 year includes a foundation year - and you will get funding for all years.

Depends on your situation, but I would personally recommend an Access diploma 🙂
