Application to uni

Hi,

I need some advice;
So i did my a levels last year and didn't do so well, got BCC.
I am currently doing Biochem at uni however it isn't something i am interested in and got in through clearing.
I want to try to get into Physiotherapy this year. I missed an offer to do Physiotherapy because i didn’t do so well in the interview- this was also during clearing so i assume they lowered the requirements meaning that if i was to apply during the normal procedure it is highly likely i would get rejected because my grades don’t meet them. So my question is; do i apply through the normal procedure before the deadline even though i will get rejected or wait till clearing and call up unis then. (I have also been given a reference by my sixth form teacher so all i rly have left is personal statement and basically applying)

So are you intending to resit any of these (ideally the Cs)? Alternatively, you can do other A Levels in subject that aren't required subjects (I think biology is typically the required subject for physiotherapy degree, and since you are doing biochem you should have both biology and chem).

If you are going to resit your A Levels, then you would need to reapply via UCAS.
If you don't intend to resit your A Levels, consider clearing or applying for degree with an integrated foundation year (need to apply via UCAS).
See the following as examples:
https://www.wlv.ac.uk/courses/bsc-hons-physiotherapy-with-foundation-year/
https://www.plymouth.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/bsc-physiotherapy-with-integrated-foundation-year
https://le.ac.uk/courses/physiotherapy-with-foundation-year-bsc/2024

If you intend to do a degree in physiotherapy, I presume you have checked whether the degree is accredited by the Chartered Physiotherapy Society: https://www.csp.org.uk/careers-jobs/career-physiotherapy/physiotherapy-degrees

No i do not plan to resit any exams. Thanks for the advice. I plan to wait for clearing like you said.
