Placement year

I’m in second year at Aston studying Business & Management. Applying for placements but it’s very quiet. Does anyone know what happens if I can’t get a placement organised as it says on the course details that the placement year is compulsory.

I'm at BCU currently looking for a placement too, and here we can progress straight into final year if we can't find a placement in time -maybe you could contact your tutors or student support to clarify what happens at Aston?

Have you tried contacting places directly, or have you just applied to advertised placements? I've found I've actually had more responses from contacting businesses directly via email or Instagram, so maybe give this a go? You could also enquire at your uni where previous students have gone for placements and see if such places are willing to offer a placement again?

I know how hard it is ti find something, especially something you actually want, and the waiting around for a response can be frustrating. Hopefully you get something sorted soon!
