is it justified to be upset at my bf

so my bf said he would come visit me next week and i cleaned my room and told all of my friends i wouldnt be in uni next week just for him to say hes not coming because he feels depressed and overwhelmed with work.

i know i shouldnt think about myself here but im upset he didnt tell me earlier and now itll be awkward telling my friends that i am infact coming. and most importantly i was really looking forward to him being here

It’s certainly justified to be disappointed. It needs a wider context to judge if it’s justified to be upset. Is he normally unreliable and flakey or is there a genuine health issue behind it?
