Bad Idea to Apply for Accommodation with a Conditional Offer?

Is it a bad idea to start applying for accommodation when you only have a conditional offer? Both my universities gave me a conditional offer and I'm deciding whether or not to apply for accommodation now.

If your uni has a first come first served basis on accommodation apply! If not that's up to you, I would still say apply though! :smile:

Assuming it's not private accommodation then if you don't get in they d just give it to someone else so you might as well apply now.

I've got a conditional offer and applied, in most cases the accommodation isn't confirmed until you put down a deposit
