I understand but many people get acne unfortunately. Anyone can be blonde, all they have to do is dye their hair. Obviously it is personal preference but I don't think someone should straight-out dismiss someone for having scarring.

I think hes talking about facial scars. if it is elsewhere you can have a choice to look away but if its on the face its unavoidable. No offence.

I'm not saying that someone should dye their hair just so that they can get off with someone, that's just ridiculous. People should be comfortable in their own skin. People have free choice but everyone has flaws.

Preach. Although you'll always find that one person who thinks they're perfect in every way.... Sigh

Why would I take offence? I don't have scarring on my face.

Plus acne is curable unlike scars. Its just down to health.

I didnt want to imply people with scars are ugly or whatever

Also down to hormones. I have a healthy diet, exercise, and yet I had bad acne and still get flair ups due to stress or periods, which can only be treated medically.

True I guess. Ive done a lot of research on skin care for my school project so im an expert in it pretty much . With genes and hormones, they will show effect but you can act on it to minimise their effects. I used to get spots but now ever I hardly get spots even though I ate healthy and exercised back then too

both, why? is one better than the other? btw there's no cure for acne, if there was, nobody would have it. Well there's accutane but that's only prescribed for people with severe acne, and rarely prescribed by the NHS, so you'd have to pay a dermatologist £100s+ to treat you and prescribe you with it. People without acne are quite ignorant towards it and assume it's curable, it's treatable, but there's no magical cure.

Ive done my school project on acne and skin care and I know there is a natural cure for acne. Lots of experiments have proof for this. I used to get a lot of spots too but now I dont. I can share details with you if you want. Genes and hormones play a minimal role and you can change it. Genes and hormones only create proteins which can be inhibited/changed.
I very rarely have acne now, but I do have severe skin redness on my cheeks, chin, nose and forehead (no idea whether it is a form of rosacea or just 'redness'- no one else in my family has skin redness but me). Generally-speaking I'm very content with the way I look, but this issue has become a serious nuisance for me, and has made me feel quite self-conscious around strangers, for example I will hesitate when having to answer the door for the postman if I have no make up on. It's sad and ridiculous but I'm being totally honest when I say that.

A majority of people do suffer from acne however, and I wouldn't choose to be with someone who did criticise me for the way I looked. So I honestly wouldn't mind if my partner had acne or any kind of scarring.

There's no natural cure hahah. Ok spill the beans, what is it then? lol. Genes and hormones play a HUGE role in the onset and persistence of acne. Why do teenagers get acne? because of raging hormones (testosterone) which increase sebum production and cause breakouts. Genes also play a part as those with a genetic inheritance have skin that is more reactive and sensitive to stress, insulin levels, and hormones etc. It's so ignorant to assume there's a natural cure. I've read that genes account for 80% of acne. 80%! and only 20% can be controlled by diet and lifestyle. So no matter how much water you drink, how much exercise you have, how healthy you eat, and how stress free your life is, you may still get spots! Gee some people.

Must be one hell of a school project to now claim to be an expert in dermatology, a field people spend years specialising in to become experts in.

Depends how bad they are and whether they're on the face. Have very high standards when it comes to facial aesthetics. Dated this Brazilian chick who had ACNE pock-marked cheeks once, but only because she'd hidden this expertly with makeup/photoshopping prior to our meeting. She was a lovely woman, and we were quite good friends, and it didn't stop us having a nice time together, but was never going to go anywhere

was it never going to go anywhere purely because of the pock scars? :frown:
Acne is a big turn off for me. Probably the biggest physical turn off for me actually, I despise the look of acne.
If they had a good personality then I might consider it but I would also help them out (I know a way to get really good skin)

This is my honest answer.

So you found her attractive until you found out her skin wasn't good?
