Insurance Application Withdrawn

I applied to do diagnostic radiology and received a conditional offer. I accepted my first choice and the other as an insurance (both conditions). I just got an email from the uni saying that they have withdrawn my application because I put them down as an insurance. I never knew universities could do this it never mentioned on their website about this. What can I do?

Was one of their offer conditions that the offer would only be valid if picked as firm?

If not contact them and UCAS to complain.
I’ve just been on the phone to UCAS and they said that it’s not allowed and I’ve to phone the university thanks for the help
That seems really unusual? Did it manage to get sorted?
