Third time applying

After reading various threads I understand how this works

My course is 4 years + a gift year, - my two used years = I have to fund one year myself. I get this and accept that it’s only fair.

My question is, does it have to be the first year that I fund? It would be much easier if it was second or third year, giving me time to save money for accommodation costs, etc.

Yes it would need to be year one you fund, as we will pay for the final years of your course.
