Hello,

Is the medicine course undergraduate or graduate entry?

In addition, in order to confirm your eligibility and funding, please confirm:
1. Which university and course you are looking to commence your studies with
2. How old are you
3. Your current status and residency within the UK
4. Any previous study and qualifications you may hold

Thanks, Lynsey.

Hello,

Medicine is deemed an exception course. Students that hold an Equivalent Level Qualification (ELQ) are entitled to maintenance loan only for the first 4 years of the course. In the 5th year and any subsequent years of their course students are entitled to an income-assessed NHS bursary and, therefore, we award them the reduced rate of maintenance loan only.
Intercalation years and Foundation years do count towards your 4 years of study. Therefore in your 5th year of study (4th year of medicine course) you'll be entitled to NHS funding and Reduced Rate Maintenance Loan only from SFE,

Do you hold ILR or EU Settled status? When was this granted?

Thanks, Lynsey.

maintenance loan only? sorry bit confused, are the tution fees also covered by SFE in addition to maintenence loan?
so will I get full funding by SFE for Foundation year in medicine+4 years of medicine? and last year to be funded by NHS?

as is Medicine with Foundation Year MBChB UCAS code: A110 https://www.edgehill.ac.uk/course/medicine-with-foundation-year/

Do you hold ILR or EU Settled status? When was this granted? Indefinite Leave to Remain granted in 2018

Hello,

The foundation year is classed as part of the 4 years. That's correct, you will only be eligible to Maintenance Loan in years 1-4, then any subsequent years will be a reduced rate Maintenance Loan as you're entitled to the NHS Bursary. You would need to fund the Tuition Fees yourself.

Thanks, Lynsey.
