Trouble with Student Finance

Okay guys just some background info..

im an undergraduate looking to apply for a student loand ansd maintaince grant for the start of the year.

I have already registered at directgov's website.

this is what happenend

1) clicked 'apply for student support'
2)Filled in a short questionnaire which asked me if id lived in the UK ... blah blah and if i was taking a teacher training course thingy .. if i was a long distance learner as so on and so forth...
3) The website progressed me to what i think is another set of questions
4)Asked for a passport number and i gave it
5) then asked me to add in any 'Previous loans and study' of course being an undergraduate i have non .. i clicked no to 'did you recieve a qulification' .. AND THEN it stopped me progreesing and stated 'Error 1: At least one previous course should be provided'

ANY HELP WOULD BE ACE ... IM STUCK AT THIS POINT ...

my friend suggested i might have applied as a postgraduate or something thats why its asking me this stuff .. completly confused
