So, i'm inviting my crush to my bday dinner in a nice riverside restaurant.

A few cousins of mine will be there.

How can i let my crush know subtly that I like him?

We aren't gonna be getting drunk btw... so something sober haha

How about you chat to the guy and see how he reacts (presumably he at least enjoys your company if he's coming to your birthday party), and then if it goes well keep chatting to him? That should give you some indication and then if it's still going well at the end of the night ask him out.

yeah, and they're really weird about it. they tried putting him off me last time (long story), so i'd rather leave them out of it.

Thing is i can't NOT invite them and invite my crush etc.
