Will I get to see my school reference before its sent to ucas?

My form teacher is in the process of writing my reference for uni, will I get a chance to read it before its sent?

Depends. I didn't get to see mine but I had friends with different tutors that got to see theirs.

You can probably ask your tutor to show you before/after it's sent off but as far as I'm aware they don't have to show you. I think you can pay UCAS £10 and you can read it online. I never bothered to find out because I'm sure it wasn't that interesting and I got to see my individual references from my subject teachers anyway.

I know most teachers just send them off but you can usually ask to read it, there shouldn't be a problem with that (at the teachers own discretion - they don't have to show you)

Why would you want to see it though? They can't write anything bad about you (although arguably bad things can be written in good ways) but most importantly you can't change it, so why even bother?
