mid tier RG apply to Cambridge?

Is it possible to go from a low-mid tier RG like cardiff, sheffield, newcastle, glasgow Belfast, QMUL to Cambridge for masters if a student achieves a strong first (about 80%)?

I ask because I see lots of people from high tier RG like UCL, Imperial, LSE and KCL applying and getting offers, but not so many people from lower RG unis applying?

Perfectly possible, if you can't see it happening, you aren't looking in the right paces. Those Unis all send students regularly to Cambridge for PG, academic staff move between them in both directions, there's nothing 'low-mid' about them at all.
